Privacy Policy

What this covers

This policy applies to the GoMeet1v1 website and the video chat experience available on it. GoMeet1v1 is an independent platform and is not connected to any other service with a similar name.

What we collect

• Account data — what you provide when you register: sign-in identifier, display name, and any profile details you choose to add.
• Usage data — which pages you open, which calls you start and end, and which features you use.
• Device and technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and approximate region derived from the IP. Used to run the service and to detect abuse.
• Payment data — when you buy coins, our payment providers process the card or wallet details. We receive the fact and amount of a purchase, not your full card number.
• Reports and moderation records — what you tell us when you report a conversation, and what we did about it.

How it is used

• To connect you to the person you chose and run the call.
• To keep the platform safe: to investigate reports, block abuse, and remove accounts that break the rules.
• To process purchases and keep a record of them.
• To answer your support requests.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so it can be improved.

Video and audio

Your camera and microphone are used only for the call you start, and only after your browser asks you and you allow it. You can revoke that permission at any time in your browser settings; the call ends rather than continuing without it.

Call content may be examined when a conversation is reported, so that a report can be acted on. We do not use call content for advertising or profiling.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate traffic. Details, and how to turn them off, are on the Cookie Policy page.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers who make the service work — hosting, content delivery, payment processing, analytics, and abuse prevention — and only with what they need to do that job. We also disclose data where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to investigate a serious safety issue.

How long it is kept

Account data is kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Safety and moderation records may be kept longer than the account itself, because otherwise a removed account could simply be recreated. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the rest.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to some uses of it. Ask through the contact page and we will act on the request. You can delete your account from your account settings at any time.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use GoMeet1v1. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we remove accounts that appear to belong to someone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes and, where appropriate, we tell you inside the product.
